Stock Back-Up Camera messing up!
Today I get in my car put the car in reverse and noticed on my nav screen that the rear view cam was almost like static, like an old vhs tape messing up, it was weird because it just happened all of the sudden. I get out the car look at the cam at tapped it with my finger tried it again and it was fine. Has any one else has had this problem before? maybe the cables are loose?

My aftermarket camera is doing this too. I have also tapped it, and sometimes it goes normal, sometimes not. Sometimes I just let the car sit in reverse with the brake on, and the camera turns normal.
Is yours the stock camera or an aftermarket one? I think I may need to replace my camera.

Any back up camera with ground, +12V power wire and video RCA signal will work. They have a ton of them on eBay for $9-$200. It all depends on the style you're looking for.
I have one that goes underneath the license plate lip by the license plate lights, but it's starting to act screwey. I am thinking of getting something like this to replace it:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Night-Version-Ca...item5d280b4b7e
You would then have to purchase something like an avelectronic unit (avelectronic.com) or Dom's unit for the 2004 - 2006 acura tl to view the reverse video signal on your nav screen.
