Steering wheel and subwoofer
Hi guys! I'm new to this forum and actually new to owning a TL. I just got it 3 days ago, a white 05 TL with Navi. Driving it around town is so nice and smooth lol...i love it!
But...I have discovered some problems (I don't know if they are problems or not yet since this is my first TL). The main problem I have is that when I turn my steering wheel it makes a noise like air coming out of something (hissing sound). It sounds like a hydraulic kinda noise to me. Since the wheel is stiffer than my previous car, an accord, I can't really tell if it's normal or not. Do all the TLs do that, or is mine just problematic?
Another thing I discovered is that my subwoofer doesn't punch very well. I don't know know if the base TL subwoofer is just weak, or if the previous owner blew it out already (got it from a dealer).
Anyways, any info and help would be greatly appreciated! I really like this car, and I hope I can fix them (if there are problems) .
Thanks in advance!!

Factory sub in an '05 doesn't really punch. It mostly just fills in nicely to balance out the factory system. It isn't bad for a factory system, but does not have "punch". Try turning the sub off to compare to see if it is working or not.
I can hear the power steering pump when I turn, but it is no worse than any other car I have owned.

the sub is weak. 40 watts 2ohms is all its rated for. Its not going thump the way a bandpass box with 12's would. I havent had the steering wheel issue yet and I've had my TL for over 3 years.

thanks guys for your input! there is a slight difference when i turn off the sub woofer vs turning it on, but its really slight haha...i guess the thing is just weak sauce then.
The steering concerns me though...so i might get it check out at the dealer since i still have the warranty.
Thanks again guys
