Steering wheel off-center problem
I've had my '05 TL for a little over 3 weeks now. In the last 2 weeks, I've noticed that most of the time when I'm driving completely straight, I look down at my steering wheel and see it turned slightly to the left (about 5-10 degrees). Also, I find myself turning the wheel slightly to left a lot of times to keep the vehicle in a straight line. I finally made it in for my appointment w/the dealership to get a re-alignment under warranty. Took it out of the dealership parking lot tonight and within 20 seconds I noticed the exact same problem again. The service advisor did say "we verified that your steering wheel was off centered and we fixed it with the alignment machine".
My question is whether others have similar issues w/the steering wheel. I realize that our steering wheel is pretty light and since most roads are slightly sloped to the right for drainage, maybe this is normal for most other owners? The thing that threw me off was the advisor telling that I indeed had an alignment problem. I would appreciate any inputs. There's already another thread on an off centered steering wheel but it was related to someone having changed their wheel size. TIA!

It only takes a few minutes for you to hold the wheel while he adjusts the linkage.
You're not alone though. My 04 TL wheel is off slightly also. However, it tracks perfectly straight down the road thus I haven't desired to have anyone mess that up trying to fix the slight visual issue.
Good luck
