Exclamation Steering Problem

Hey guys i have 07 Acura TL and my steering wheel is so hard to turn when i am pulling in or pulling out of a parking. The steering is nice and easy to turn when the car is moving. I know that when the car is standing still and you try to move it will be hard but at least you can turn it mine i cant even move it much. I checked the last service that had been done was the 60,000 mile service and they didn't change the power steering fluid.

Can that be the problem?

Seriously. Not to be a jerk but if you're having problems, why not start with checking the fluid level? It seems like these days guys want to rely 100% on others instead of popping the hood and taking a look. If the fluid level is fine, is the fluid aerated? If it's aerated, does it make a whining noise? If the fluid is fine, what condition is the belt in? You know you're not supposed to turn the wheels with the car dead stopped, right? How hard is hard?

wait so is this directed at me or the OP? pretty sure it's at the OP but either way, I COULDN'T AGREE WITH YOU MORE! Everyone has this run to Acura mentality and let those "service advisers" aka salesmen try to sell them on how Acura is the only one that can fix their problem.

Pop the hood and learn something! lol

Sorry, that did sound like it was aimed at you. Definitely not though, you're the guy who has been through every nut and bolt on the car lol.

I'm having the same issue for the last month. I've kept an eye on the fluid level for a couple weeks, no bubbles, no changes in fluid level. I'm thinking the pump might be on it's last leg. No belt whine, and the belt wear seems normal for 80k miles. Appreciate any input...

Oh, and 'hard' feels like trying to turn a steering wheel when a car is turned off. That's how I would define 'hard to turn'.
