The stealership scratched my ride
So I got my oil changed at the dealer and I specifically told them to not wash the car. They always use a machine for the service department and those thing always jack up the paint. So on the invoice the advisor hand wrote in big writing do not wash. I went to pick it up later that day and the damn thing had been washed. So I was pissed naturally and found a small scratch on the top of the trunk lid that was not there before. The scratch was like a gray scuff mark(typical of cheap machine washing) and a tiny portion was through the clear coat. So Acura buffed it out and offered to re paint it if it wasnt to my liking. 90% of it was gone so the adviser said he could throw me some service to make things right. They ended up giving me a credit of $1000 for any future service that I might have. I was pretty satisfied after all of it because $1000 bux is $1000 bux and the scratch was barely noticeable after the buffing. If someone gave you $1000 dollars to make a scratch on your car about 1" long and barely noticeable would you do it? I would over and over again! Do not let the stearlership wash your car ever its not worth it. Also it makes no sense at all to me why they pay people to wash the certified used and brand new cars by hand but they use a machine for service.

Yea, that was cool that they gave you $1,000 worth of service-even after they buffed it out.

FWIW when I had to bring the car to the dealer for warranty stuff I've left a full sheet of paper taped to the dash that says "DO NOT WASH". Just putting it on the paper work never works.
I can't imagine my dealer would have done anything.... all they do is argue.
