Hey All I was hoping someone could help me.
i have a 2005 base TL. When i first got the car everything worked fine, about a month later the sports shift would not work properly! (It Shifts up but not down)! I Drove it that way for about another month , messing with it every once in a while and it started to work properly!! so now another month went by and AGAIN It shifts up but not down!!!! Has Anyone else experienced this? what did you do? ( i mean it has to work i just feel like something is out of place or loose)

IT WORKS AGAIN!!!!! I decided to reset my ECU with hopes that it would fix my sports shift. At first i had to shift down a few times to make it respond, But after a few tries it responses no problem. Now i wanna figure out if it was actually the reset of the ECU, Or the fact that it was a hot day and maybe the previous owner did spill something and the heat broke the sugars down.

whatever it maybe it works now!!!!

Disconnect the neg on the battery for 15-20 minutes? I thought this was an S.O.P. after every little bolt-on mod?

Should be.

csmeance also posted an "easter-egg" style reset - one that's done with a certain sequence of buttons/pedals in the car.

Not sure why that's not in the 3G Garage .... AJ??
