a-spec rear bumper installation. got some questions

just got my rear a-spec bumper and i have a few questions for those who have done the installation. i know a lot of people recommend the heavy duty 3M tape for the a-spec kit (ive used it on the front lip) but im not sure how i should use it. i dont remember how i used the tape for the front.

should i install the heavy duty 3M tape in the spaces indicated by the red arrows? these spots have no tape there.

should i install a long strip of 3m tape around the inside of the entire lip right above the stock tape? or is the stock tape put that low on purpose so the lip sits snug to the bumper?

now onto the front. ive tried so hard to get the right side of the front lip to sit snug onto the bumper. the left side has been perfect for the past 2 years but the right has never been flush. i tried using the heavy duty 3M tape in there along with the stock tape. ive tried 3m tape by itself and removed the stock tape. i cleaned the inside with alcohol and re-applied the the tape but ive had no luck. i even tried adjusting the bracket and angling it so the lip sits flush but it just wont stay. the tape sticks to the bumper but will not stick to the lip.

3m has an adhesion promoter, maybe try prepping with that. Also someone else suggested using white silicone on the edges, i did that myself and it completely hides any little spaces and stops water from constantly getting on the tape.

i went ahead and installed the a-spec and i have no gaps anywhere. i used a heavy duty tape made by locktite. i put the tape in the areas between the factory tape. worked great.
