Please define 'awful' - got pics? Also, maybe it's just normal wear on the plugs based on 83,000 miles. More importantly, how does the car run...if it runs well, generally plugs aren't needed until 105K.
For the rears, take off the strut bar (3 nuts on each side) and they come out easily. Use an appropriate extension to remove the plugs (some use a combo 3" and 6" extension), use a little anti-seize on the threads (not near the tip of the plug), carefully finger tighten them (some recommend using fuel line tubing to finger tighten so you don't cross thread, and then tighten appropriately. Snug but not too tight- I think it's 13 ft-lbs, but maybe someone will chime in with the exact torque spec.

post a pic. hard to believe they are "terrible" after only 83K. these plugs easily last 105K. My plugs still had the original gap when pulled at 106K...

ok, well to me they look bad. there is rust colored streaking running up the porcelin and the electrode looks sorta fouled i guess. i have been having trouble with it hesitating and dropping rpms on hard pulls. i had her up to 5k rpms pulling hard in 3rd gear and it dropped to 3k, then up a lil, cut back to 2k, i lifted and rolled back in and it seemed fine. she has been starting harder lately so i dont know, maybe i jus "think" it needs tuned up? whats your thoughts???

Here's what I use for the back plugs. I use the heater hose to start the thread:

May be a tranny issue.... Is it an A/T? No CEL/MIL? Take it to get the codes (if any) read.
Edit: Der... guess it's M/T. Clutch slipping?

our heads are aluminum, please check all your plugs and make sure they are snug and tight!
They like to eject!
however, that wouldnt be the cause of your hesitation problem.
you're on the right track starting with combustion, tho.
Did it recently start doing this?
if so, maybe a bad batch of gas?
have you checked to see if the air filter is dirty?
which leads to checking the throttle body, then looking at the EGR valve.

He made it seem like it was a 6 speed..
"i had her up to 5k rpms pulling hard in 3rd gear"
I hope it's not a tranny issue. Maybe the OP could be more descriptive other than just "cutting out" . Is it misfiring? CEL? Vibration while driving? Have you read on the ECU reset if you just feel it is sluggish? etc

It's an AT. I was in sport mode as I typically ride her hard. I checked the air filter. It needs replaced but far from dirty. No codes no CEL. Gas was a 1/4 tank into a fill up so hard to think gas is the prob but who knows.
It just started this. As far as "cutting out" I don't know any other way of describing it. To be hard on the throttle and it jus drop 2 and 3k rpms without me letting off??? Hmmmm doesn't seem normal
