Side view mirrors stick & pop when rotating down

They work, but when they rotate down they seem labored and they pop and stick a bit. how does one go about removing the mirror glass? also, is there a track or gear I could lubricate that would help resolve this issue?

thanks all!!!

Take it to acura, they will either replace the motors or try to lube up the motors.

yep, my warranty was up a few months back and the dealers in my area are douchebags and I have to drive 45 minutes to get to either one of them. so how do I fix? better yet, how do I remove the mirror glass without breaking it? I'll figure out how to fix the rest and do a how-to!

I've had both side mirrors replaced under warranty for this very problem. The passenger's side last week and the driver's side last year. If you're still within your warranty period, take your car in and get new ones installed. Or, if you're beyond warranty, take this opportunity to upgrade the mirrors to the '07/8's with the turn signals.

I had that problem on my '04s right mirror. At 75k, I don't have a warranty so the dealer wanted $275 to replace it. I bought a can of silicone spray lube w/the little red straw and moved the mirror up and down spraying inside. That was two months ago and it still works normally.

they'll probably fix it under extended warranty, after you pay the deductible of "a whole bunch"

if someone can post the manual page that has the mirror glass removal instructions I'll do a how to to fix this!
