alright so i did do a search before asking this..

but when I put my car in reverse and the side mirrors angle down..

when I put it back in drive and it angles back to normal.. it doesnt return smoothly.. it clicks like something is in its way?

Its not really a big deal, but I do want to fix it (before it creates any long term damage) and was wondering if anyone had any ideas

It's most likely the actuator mechanism inside the mirror which is replaceable.

A simple fix is to put the L and R selector switch in the middle after you adjust the mirrors then they will not tilt down when putting in reverse. This doesn't fix the problem but eliminates the frustration.
