should I or should I not change the transmission fluid

should I or should I not change the transmission fluid
Ok so I'm having mixed feelings about changing my 5AT transmission fluid, I search for this and some say don't do it because the transmission is used to the oil it has, and some say do it. I just don't want to cause any problems. I bought the car with 63,000 miles and have no idea if its been changed, on the dip stick the oil is a brownish color.

change it drive it 5 miles change it again drive it 5 miles and change it again.

i change mine every 10k - 15k miles.. it's always red and always smooth when i drive
