It seems my car's tranny is giving out

I own an Acura Tl 2004 with about 160,000 miles on it and for the past few months it hasn't been driving the same. It has a delayed start and sometime it wont want to move. I can rav it up to 2-3 rpm and sometimes it wont move (specially when its cold outside even when I would warm it up). It's been a bit warmer outside here in Chicago but my car still has a delay and it's starting to develop a delay when i change gears. It drives much slower than normal and when i hit a red light the delay is there again. I'm guessing it's the tranny but im not sure im no espert in car whatsoever so i'm hoping I'm wrong. Do you guys have any idea what could be going on with my car?
