Screws are stripped on engine air filter box

Hello guys. I am back. Used to own an 04 TL. Just purchased an 08 TL Type S from Carmax. Tried to change the engine air filter yesterday only to find that the previous owner did a hackjob on the screws that hold the engine air filter box down.

The car is going to Carmax tomorrow for them to do a interior detail...I am going to ask them if there is anything that they can do at their shop for this issue. Anyone have any ideas?

Use a 8mm socket to remove the bolts.

Done and done. On my first inspection the corners looked too rounded to bother with it, plus I didn't think I had a smaller socket. Rummaged through my tools and found an 8mm. Got them to budge! Thanks guitarplayer. Btw just bought the new Rocksmith game, the one where you hook an electric guitar to your computer. Awesome stuff.
