Sagging Hood Liner

Guys...the heat shield liner on the underside of my hood sags...I have tucked it and taped it with duct tape. That holds for a while but the heat gets to the tape and down it comes again. Anyone else dealt with this issue?

I haven't had any problems with my TL's headliner, but my wife had the same problem in her 2005 Mazda 6 due to the high humidity/heat here in Florida. We ended up taking it to an automotive upholstery shop that charged $120 to take it out, install new fabric, and reinstall the headliner.

The hood liner belongs in the trash can. It makes minimal difference in noise outside the car and traps in heat. Just take it down and forget it was ever there.

Hood liner, not head liner.

OK, works for me. I thought that since the Acura engineers engineered such a fine part that it was essential. Blahaha!

^its a fire damper.
if a fire should start in your engine bay; the hood liner SHOULD dampen the fire.

butt, it doesnt always work as Ive seen some TL's catch on fire from faulty power steering.
power steering fluid leaks on to a hot catalytic converter and bye bye TL.

its important to get the power steering recall done.
