Safety Recall.....

Did anyone else receive a safety recall for the power steering line and the windshield wiper motor? Has anyone taken it to the dealership yet? What happened? Just wanted to give a shout out to ELK GROVE Lasher Acura in ELK GROVE, CA for awesome customer service. They took my car, gave me a rental that i didn't have to pay for, (by the way i took the 08 TSX to drive that for a little bit instead of the TL) nice car by the way but wouldn't trade down for it. they cleaned, vacuumed, and washed my car and even fixed a couple dents and scrathes i had visible. they get a from me!

Just had mine done.

Due to a scheduling snafu on their part they didn't get it finished last Friday and ended up having to keep my TL over the weekend, finishing it up on Monday morning. They let me keep the loaner (an '08 TSX) for the weekend, delivered my car back to me on Monday at work (about 50 miles) and ate the cost of the gas (about 1/3 - 1/2 of a tank - I got it full and was supposed to return it full) for the TSX to make up for the inconvenience.

All in all, it went fine.

The service advisor I worked with is a pretty good guy. I had had a negative experience with him at a different dealership a few years ago, but have come to realize it was the dealership that had been the source of the problem, not the service advisor.

Just did mine today. No problems, got an 08 TSX as well to drive for the day. Nice car, but I'm glad I didn't settle for it when I was buying. The only odd thing was they said my battery was weak (at 18,000 miles), but they replaced it...so all in all I have to say they did a great job - giving me a loaner, and I didn't have to take any time off from work.
