Im having a problem with my 2006 tl running rough at cold start up, I tried changing the plugs, I cleaned pcv valve, cleaned egr valve, and cleaned the tb, and still no change, the engine just sounds noisy like the valves are making noise, but after about 3 minutes of warm up the noise clears up, it also shakes a bit during warm up, its not throwing any codes or anything, if anyone has any insight it would be much appreciated

 

The shake could be engine mounts going bad, and the noise could be normal. We'd have to hear for sure. Make sure your spark plugs are tight, they are known to come loose.

 

In my experience, the J series are fairly noisy when cold. Most people dispute this.

from visual inspection the mounts look fine, ill check my plugs, ill get a video soon.

 

Mines 08 tls is loud at first too but it's because it revs at a higher rpm due to the oil being cold once it warms up the engine calms down and rpms go to about 750

 

Yeah, it just seems a little to noisy, but it is my first vtec, so I have nothing to compare it too, I have been told Hondas, vtecs especially tend to be noisy.
