is this an RMS leak?

hi guys,

2006 3.2l TL with the 5sp auto and 50k miles.

when i bought the car i noticed a leak so i cleaned it and checked it again later but i couldnt really pin point it. it seems to be coming from where the tranny and engine are meeting so maybe an RMS leak?
are these common and should i address? car has 50k miles never opened up. seems to be small, was a bit hard to spot. oil level hasn't dropped since oil change.

see attached photos.

thanks,

Cristian

You need to thoroughly clean the area and start the engine leave it on for a while, but NOT drive it before checking again.
If driven, wind will spread the leak to other areas.

If it isn't dripping excessively I wouldn't bother with it. Watch the oil levels and check for spots. Looks like it can be a RMS. There should be a metal plate that you can remove and maybe look at the seal to see if it is the culprit.

when you say metal plate you are referring to the little piece (palm length) held with two bolts?

also, are these cars known to leak from RMS?
good news is its a very slow leak, oil level doesnt go down noticeably between changes.
