Right headlight replaced...still not working??? Any ideas??

Trusted Family repair shop replaced right headlamp and while the light came on once it then refused to work again. I am now told that there are two Electrical "boxes" that control the lamp and that these are the problem and for $750.00 parts and labor this will solve the problem. Does this sound right to anyone?? Thanks for your time and input...Carol

what year and model is your car??

Likely they are talking about the ballast or "control unit" that has died.

it is likely the ballast!

if mine were on they way out, I wouldnt replace with expensive OEM tho. I'd take a look at www.theretrofitsource.com and their branded Morimoto slim ballast

Great idea., be sure to get these to make them truly plug and play as opposed to cutting/splicing wires: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/oe...-adapters.html

As long as it works and is a direct plug in replacement, who cares? I bought a new one off ebaY last year for less than $50 and its still working AOK!
