Trusted Family repair shop replaced right headlamp and while the light came on once it then refused to work again. I am now told that there are two Electrical "boxes" that control the lamp and that these are the problem and for $750.00 parts and labor this will solve the problem. Does this sound right to anyone?? my car is a 2005 TL

 

it is likely the ballast!

if mine were on they way out, I wouldnt replace with expensive OEM tho. I'd take a look at www.theretrofitsource.com and their branded Morimoto slim ballast

As long as it works and is a direct plug in replacement, who cares? I bought a new one off ebaY last year for less than $50 and its still working AOK!
