Reverse hid problems??
Ok so once i did the install for the hid in the reverse but after a few days of having a small problem that when i would put reverse i would get a some what loud click thru the amps and speakers i took them off .....ok so today while i was putting some 50w ballast to my fogs i had a extra set of ballast layin around and decided to give it another shot. The only weird thing is that it only does it for my reverse and not in the upper and lower fogs ...:dunno:
From the looks of it im still having the same problem...i have checked the grounds and have a relay to it ...if anyone can help i would really apreciate it,i really dont wanna give up on this mod but this will be my last attempt |
here is the DIY thread.
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/g-103-diy-hids-reverse-lights-766410/ is that how you did yours? do you have the DE528T timer relay hooked up as well? i'm not sure what the issue could be, but that thread shows EXACTLY what you need and how to do it properly. |

I was also told that the ground for the hids and the relays should be seprete maybe that would be another facter of my problem. |
^yeah i dunno, maybe. that timer is a must have IMO. mine were installed just like that DIY i posted and i haven't had an issue yet.

maybe, i wont say that you definately would. Question, Where do you have the power wire coming from? Is it the distribution block that feeds the amps, or does it come straight from the battery?

I would guess you are getting interference from the ballast in the stereo equipment in the trunk.
I would isolate those grounds and power connections and move the hardware for the HIDs away from any aftermarket stereo equipment in the trunk |

Everything is seperated since the stereo system is in the back part of the trunk and the ballast are on the trunk lid.
Where are you grounded for your relay and ballasts? If you went to the bolt in the trunk lid as mentioned in the instructions with the link provided earlier, it's not really a strong enough ground. If I were you, I would run the ground wires down the trunk lid to inside the car and ground at the same point that the amps (and anything else that's grabbing power from the same distribution block) are grounded to. Lastly, try a ground-loop isolator if you're still getting the noise. |
Lock is on the right path.
