Rear R parking brake back plate fell off
My e-brake hasn't been holding up for awhile but today the plate sorta broke free and it was hanging. I had to pop the tire out to take the plate out. It looks like it snapped around a 5" diameter. Still safe to drive I guess? My mech once told me that replacing the ebrake etc is pricey and not so accurate? Would like to know if I should be worried at the current state as I'll need to drive 500kms in a couple days. Here's a pic:

Brake dust shield is nothing to worry about. If you want to you could buy a new one to replace it but it's not high priority. When you say your parking brake hasn't been holding up lately, are you referring to that dust shield that broke off or that the parking brake is not able to hold your car anymore when you pull the parking brake? Parking brake shoes replacement is not expensive or hard to do, I just did mine a few weeks ago.
