Rear dome lights stay on.

Not sure where to post this , but im having a issue with my rear dome light.

I went to install some led's in the rear dome light and they wont dim down or turn off like the fronts do . So i pulled them out and put the factory ones back in and its still doing the same thing . I even tried putting in some canbus bulbs in the rear . I tried the canbus bulbs in my brothers 05 tl and they dim down and turn off but in my car they wont , they stay on .

Has anyone else had this problem ?

Thanks ,

Greg

At least two other owners had this problem-- it turned out that both had the lights in the "on" position due to passengers in the rear seat.

Try pushing the light lenses themselves to see if the bulbs turn off-- if so, that's the problem.

Otherwise, there would be a short somewhere.

G/L.

5 dollars says you accidentally pressed them down on the plastic making them stay on all the time.

So you tried pressing them down, locked your car and they still stay on? I hope you have your doors locked and wait a while to check or lock your car with the FOB. If that's the case i don't see what could of caused it
