Rear Bumper not flush on the left side

I had to remove the rear bumper on the left side to replace the taillight led unit. Now the side is not flush. The Black hooks on the inside alre latched onto the bumper correctly but its not flush. I looked and there was no way that i could find to adjust the black clips that hold the bumper in place. Can anyone assist with this problem? Thanks.

Pictures would be helpful.

Make sure that your bumper is aligned with the clips underneath the tailights.

Hate to bump an old thread, but my bumper isn't flush either. It sticks out where it connects to the tail lights both sides, but the left side is bad. I've never taken my rear bumper off, but I know a mechanic has before and he probably effed something up. What should I be looking for if I take it off?

Look for clips if they are there. Most likely they have fallen off and they did not bother to put it back thinking it would be ok till you hit a bump and it popped out cause there is no clip holding it.

How much are the clips to replace?
