Rear brakes sticking?

Rear brakes sticking?
I bought the car (2004 TL) with 17,000 miles. At 50,000 miles I had new brakes (rotor, pads etc.) installed. Got home from work the second night and smelled burning metal. Rear driver side rim was very hot. I brought it back and the shop (not Acura) replaced the new ceramic pads with metal pads.
It still happens but only on occassion. One wheel gets very hot and I get a distinct odor when I get home. Mt commute is 25 miles. My mechanic tells me to drop it in the morning if the wheel is hot but it seems to happen only at night.
Thanks.

Caliper cleaning needed.
When you replace brake pads, the caliper piston has been far out (thin pads) for a while and some rust/dust can develop. When you press the piston in to make room for the new (thick) pads, the dirty/rusted part comes back in the cylinder and can have difficulty sliding back in easily when you release the brake pedal. This causes brake drag and execive heat. The result is fast pad wear, lower mpg, and possibly a warped rotor.
Have your caliper dissasembled and cleaned as soon as you can.
I had this experience with my 2004 tl but not as bad as you have. Usually Honda's are not very prone to this problem. In comparison, my Mazda Protegé have this problem every year if I don't get the rear calipers cleaned regularly, even without pad replacement.
Good luck.

Also, make sure the sliding pins (applies for automatic tranny front/rear, only rear for manual) have been re-lubed and the boots have no cracks.
I suppose your mechanic already did this operation when he replaced the pads but it can be another cause of sticking.
