Hey guys, my car rattles whenever I turn my car off after it's warmed up(sounds like a tin can). It rattles a little bit sometimes when I turn it on as well but not all the time. It sounds like the rattle is coming from the j-pipe area. I searched and found that the intermediate shaft shield was a common problem for people with rattles while they are driving at low RPMs. I looked under my car and tried to see if any heat shields were loose at all but I didn't find any loose ones. I even tried wiggling/hitting the intermediate shaft shield and it felt tight. And is it a good idea to take the intermediate shaft heat shield off completely? Maybe someone can help if they had this problem before, thanks

 

sounds like your on the right track looking at the shields. did you look at the ones on the cats?
