Radio and Heater Control Settings Disappear
I have a new 2008 TL that I have been driving for 4 days. I noticed something funny this morning. Last night when I shut car off I my radio settings and temperature, fan settings were all set and on.
This morning when I started the car my heater settings did not appear on my display and my radio was off. After looking at it for a few minutes it appeared that the settings disappeared and I had to set up temperature and fan settings again.
I then turned on the radio and all my presets were gone. It is as if all my settings defaulted back to factory settings.
Has anyone seen this?

1) Wrong remote fob?
2) Fob not linked?
The remote keyfobs are marked (and recognized in the car's MID) as "Driver 1" and "Driver 2."
The driver settings (seat, climate control, audio) are linked to the remote fob you used to open the door before making the settings.
If you used a different remote, the driver settings will change to that of the remote, or to no settings if none were entered for that remote.
The instructions to linking the fobs are on the backs in tiny little print; the quick-start guide and owner's manual have more legible instructions.

That way, you can set up the temp for 65* and have pre-sets for orchestra and jazz, while your SO can set up the environment for temp at 80* with rap and zydeco on the other key fob.
