Proposed idea solution for Steering Wheel rattle.
I just got brand new tires, my rims checked and a Road force balance (better than traditional balance) and an alignment, my steering wheel does not shake even at 70mph and so on however I still feel the vibes through the wheel. I was thinking about a damper or something. So my proposal was to go to a junk yard and find some old axles and cut the rubber damper that is in middle of the axle in half and clamp it with a band clamp on the steering mechanism. Any ideas or comments?

you will feel a little bit of the road as the steering is directly connected to the car since it's a hydraulic system. However if it's a bit more than normal it could be worn bushings in the front suspension. Check to see if they are cracked or worse!

Rattle?
There are (at least) 3 different causes for the Steering Wheel rattles/buzzing. One is the airbag harness/connection, one is the ignition rattling and the last is inside the airbag compartment.
There are posted fixes for all of these.
Disregard if you're refering to vibration or shaking and not rattles.
