Problems after changing out seats on the TL
I just recently upgraded my interior seats from a set of 2004 camel seats with an ebony set from a 2007 TL. I know that a couple of members here have done a similar swap or even put TL-S seats in base models.
I was wondering if anyone had any trouble in terms of "calibration" or any issues with sensors after the swap. My SRS light is currently on and after resetting it twice, it remains on. I brought it to my local mechanic to take a look and he mentioned something about calibrating it correctly.
Just wondering if anyone has stumbled upon this issue and if there was any remedy or suggestions as to what to do next.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks!

Well all of the plugs and harnesses matched up accordingly so it is probably the same connector.... Maybe each pin is wired differently.... I guess I'd have to have an Acura dealer check that out???

Just go to the dealer and have a look at the shop manuals for both your car, and the car the seats came form. Trace the wires going to seats to see what goes where. If there are any differences, pop the pins out of the connectors and move them around to make them right. Just be aware that your working on an explosive device. SRS system is quite dangerous.

For everytime you remove your passenger seat which has the OPDS system you will need to recalibrate the new seat to the airbag control unit. This is done with the factory scan tool and the technician putting some weight on the seat itself. However in your case your 2004 TL may not have the same OPDS as a newer TL even though they are the same body style ect. The systems may have a different controler. Dealership will know this by trying to do the calibration, if it fails then you will be stuck with the SRS light and a non functioning system.
