Problem with the HFL bluetooth "booting up" WTF?

Our 06er's HFL (bluetooth) just went on the fritz the other day and locked up in the "booting up" phase on the MID, whatever that means? Anyway it was unresponsive for that day then suddenly the next day it was up an running like nothing ever happened. I have heard of this happening, and seen that some have "cleared out" the system by detaching the battery for a while. I know that's probably a temp. fix so should I take it in and tell them of a phantom or intermittent problem? You know how some techs work, if there is no identifiable problem thus, no reason to fix anything? Thanx for your input ppls!

I had the same thing happen within 4 months of getting the car new-- the HFL locked up until the next cold start cycle. This problem has recurred 3 or 4 more times since, except that the "booting up" problem would resolve the next ignition cycle after the phone was disconnected from the HFL- if it locked up and I made a stop somewhere for a few minutes, the gremlin disappeared and the HFL was back to normal.

I never did take the TL to the dealer for evaluation since the problem cannot be duplicated.

Mine doesn't synch from time to time, but usually if I disable bluetooth on the phone and then try to use it again. Whenever this happens, I just use the voice command "pair phone" and it reconnects.

Glad your problem isn't as difficult as mine, whenever the HFL locks up nothing responds, turning off the phone, holding down the button on the steering wheel for many seconds, etc. So far this has occured only once and luckily the next day when I got in the problem just disappeared, very wtf? We can only guess it will occur again under the most dire situation, like a crucial business call of some sort. I have scheduled an appt. to have the pwr. steering recall looked over and plus the HFL "booting up" issue. We cross our fingers they can do something for us? Too bad our service facility isn't Acura since we are left to nothing out here on the Big Island. At least the service facility is backed by Acura.
