Power Steering Noises

Hey everyone! I just purchased a used 2004 TL with Nav with 119 miles on it, and I have noticed that while steering, it makes a weird whirly noise and its not as smooth as I would like it to be, any ideas as to what is causing it, and what can I do to fix this issue? Thanks advance for the input guys!!

Try this

1. Check your power steering fluid level with the car turned off.
2. Check your power steering fluid while the car engine is on and running to see if there are big bubbles forming inside the power steering reservoir. If you notice lots of bubbles than you have air in the system.
3. Follow the power steering fluid lines and check for leaks. If there is any leak you'll see dirt and other residue stuck to fluid that's leaking. It might even look a little shiny / glistening if the leak was recent.
