Power Steering noise...
Almost every morning or every day after work when I start my car after it's been sitting for a while, the power steering makes some really funky noises. I can hearing it making that electrical grinding sound even when I'm not turning the wheel sometimes, and when I do turn the wheel that noise is super loud. It's the same noise you can kind of hear in any car when you turn the wheels when not moving, but very amplified. It doesn't always do it, and the power steering works fine... and it always clears itself up eventually after I drive a few miles. Do you guys think my power steering pump is going? If so, how expensive of a fix is that? Thanks

There's a recall for a power steering hose on most TLs, 04-07. Have the dealership check the pump when you bring your car in-- unless you have on '08 or are exempt from the recall. If you don't know if your car is part of the recall, check, or register with and check, acuraownerlink.com.

are you still under warranty? mine started making noise 2 days before my extended warranty went out (certified car)...i got lucky. the dealer said that the warranty helped save me about $600 with parts and labor, so that is probably close to what you can expect to pay at an acura dealer

I had this problem and the dealer replaced some o-rings under a recall warranty. Now my steering makes some knocking noises on the first couple times i turn the wheel after turning on my car. Does this mean my pump is going or that the hoses could be bad?
