Is this the power steering leak?
I was taking off my bumper to replace the headlight bulbs and i noticed this.
Is this the power steering leak that has been recalled? I haven't taken it in yet, but I know I need to.
It almost definitely looks like it is coming from the power steering reservoir.
Props to anyone who responds quickly as my front bumper is off now, and if more pics are needed, i can take em!
Thanks

I just returned from the dealer and it turns out this is not the power steering recall. That had been done in 2008 before I bought the car back in 2010.
Anyone have any ideas or information on this?
Thank you.

take a picture from the top of the engine bay to the left of the engine block. is your PS hose wrapped in reflective insulation material?

what color is the liquid and what does it smell like? can you take further away pics so we can figure out what hose that is?

It looks like the hose is weeping. As those hoses age, they develop minor cracks on the inside surface. I don't know if that's a molded hose or just a generic piece. You could try tightening that clamp, if it's loose, but I bet you'd be better off replacing the whole hose.

When I stopped by the dealer today, they told me it would be $120 just to inspect it.
I kindly told him to lick my sack.

autozone sells all sorts and sizes of generic hose. unfortunately, you need to know the inside diameter of the hose for the best replacement. in lieu of that, just tell them it's a power steering hose and what the outer diameter of the hose is and what length you need and they'll sell it to you for a few bucks a foot.
