About 3 weeks ago I started to notice the power steering was whining and I was also leaking a fluid. Obviously it was the power steering fluid that I was leaking. What part is under the windshield washer fluid tank? The part at the end of the metal arm, north of the PS res.


Has anyone seen leaking like this? My guess would be the lower hose going into the PS Res is leaking, but its almost as if the leak is coming from underneath the res.




Does anyone have any ideas? Any input is greatly appreciated.

 

have you had the recall performed???

 

I am the second owner. I ran the VIN and it says the recall was fixed.

 

Can't you take it back and have them fix it again on a recall issue that has been serviced?. That sucks bro.

 

I called a local dealership and they said they have nothing to do with it after it has been "fixed". I don't think it is going to be too costly which is the only upside. I'm curious if anyone has seen anything like this. I would guess the problem is that lower hose, but I don't want to waste time replacing that if the root cause might be somewhere else. The weird thing is I got my PS fluid changed about 10k miles ago, around 5k miles later the leak started. I'm not sure if that could have caused something like this.

 

I wanna say there were a few DIY's regarding this around here. Good luck bro that really blows.
