Power Steering Belt - B4 Service

Hi,

Just joined this site..looks like lots of good info. Wanted to throw a question out to the group..I apologize if I'm not in the correct spot on the site to be asking this.

Just took my 2006 Acura TL in for a B124 service. Oil change, tire rotation, timing belt, water pump, etc. Picked the car up on Friday and this afternoon, while driving the power steering belt snapped.

I have to believe that this was somehow caused by the work that was done to my car but I am tring to find info that would back this up - I'm not a 'car' person.

Any thoughts? Don't want to be unprepared to speak to the dealership tomorrow.

Ouch. Maybe a tensioner problem, or the dealership missed tightening a bolt.

Check the 3G TL section at https://acurazine.com/forums/a-93;/ posting there may get you more responses.

Welcome to AZ.

They did replace the leaking timing belt tensioner so maybe that has something to do with it.

Thank you for directing me to the other part of the site. I will go check that out now.
