Possible cause of this rattle

2006 TL 6spd NAVI, 3 months old. From day one, seem to have this weird rattle, which may seem to have intensified with more miles on the car.

rattle coming from the passenger side of the engine compartment at under 1000rpms in 1st or 2nd gear..precisely, at the slow take off in 1st or when shifting into 2nd from the roll. The car currently has 4K mi and hasn't had its 1st oil change yet. The car has not seen anything but the premium grade gas.

my buddy who owns a 04 Accord V6 6spd cpe says all Hondas have this rattle, says it could be some plastic engine cover...

Any ideas?

Kenny, is yours a 6spd?
There's other thread that calls for replacement of a serpantin belt tensioner, wondering if that could be it.

More than likely it's the serpantin belt tensioner. I get a few of those from time to time at the shop.

alright guys, hopefully getting this solved as we speak.

Just got a phone call service advisor, and he said that the power steering fluid reservoir was tilted to the side so that the fluid leaked out onto serpantine belt. He also said that it doesn't look like a factory defect and it should not be covered under wtty but he will do a favor and replace the reservoir, put in a new fluid, and replace the belt. I was like wtf my car is just 3 months old and I had opened my hood only once. Anyway, he calls me back, and says that there is a hole in power steering hose (!) and that'll be replaced, too so the car has to stay overnight.

Is anyone aware of any defect involving power steering hose/reservoir? How protected are those parts from road stones?

To those with similar problem I would encourage check your powersteering fluid reservoir...I'll post an update here once will pickup my car...

its official- anyone having this rattle, check your powersteering reservoir, hose, and fluid level.

Kenny- have you brought in your car to Norris Acura?
