Please...somebody must know how to reafix rear view mirror

Please...somebody must know how to reafix rear view mirror

After searching this forum, there are multiple posts on members needing help with their rear view mirror constantly coming off. No responses. Can anyone who knows please take the time to tell us how to attach it so it doesn't constantly come loose. I'm a 2 hour roound trip from the nearest Acura dealer and have an windshield that was replaced with an OEM windshield. Many thanks in advance for your help.

if you are having trouble- go to the nearest auto glass shop and have them do it in a few minutes

there is a TSB for TL's having a loose rear view mirror. not a uncommon thing.

OP had the windshield replaced and needs the mirror remounted. I know they sell kits at auto parts stores or even Walmart. Or any car repair place I'm sure can do it also.

I would not expaect - any car place- to do it right
A tsb is not anything but a service bullletin for the dealers to have insider info on a problem
An auto GLASS place will do it no sweat
Dont expect dealer techs to know how- they replace things like brakes and spark plugs!!!

To fix mine I crimped down the metal clips where the mirror mounts to the windshield then popped/slid the rear view back on. It was solid as hell until I cracked my windshield and the glass guys ruined it.
