Please help! Where are the side impact sensors???
Has anyone here ever replace the Side Airbag Impact sensors or Side Airbags? I'm having a tough time figuring out where the sensors are located, even my local dealer parts guy couldn't tell me.
Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Yes. Both roof and passenger airbags have been deployed.
I stopped by the dealership again today and asked the service guys, they showed me diagram on roughly where they are located. Looks there are three side impact sensors; front bumper corner, underneath side rail, and behind rear seats.
I was hoping someone on this forum that has done a replacement before would be able to give me some better instructions.
Another question is which one is the SRS connector for SRS light reset. I found a DIY for an 04 TSX, still wondering if it's exactly the same though.
Thanks in advance!

i guarantee you if any one of your airbags have deployed, you cannot "reset" the unit, you will need a new srs unit no matter what, trust me. anyways, the srs unit isnt even that expensive just buy a new one, its less than the cost of the airbags. always get new impact sensors too. do NOT ever skimp on saving a couple $ for safety features. but to answer your original question, I believe there are side impact sensors in the C pillars....

Yea, at this point I'm willing to spend the money to replace the impact sensors and whatever necessary.
I'm getting the headliner and seat redone this weekend, that's why I wanted to make sure on the location of the sensors. At least now I'm pretty sure there aren't any hidden under the headliner.
Has anyone come across a DIY for airbags, sensors, reset for the TL?

On the 4th gen theres a sensor inside the front fender. Might be there on 3rd gen too.
Youre brave to tackle this job.
On the 4th gen we had to take out the windshield to get the roof liner out. It was either that or taking out passanger door and seat.
Did you have to take out the roof liner? If so how did you get it out of the car?

I remember seeing them when I had half the car stripped for the audio install and I totally forgot where they are. I think it was right between the front and rear doors on the floor but not for sure. I'm sure someone will be along shortly with the answer.

Side impact sensor locations.
Side impact sensor (first) is under front seat side panel. Directly beside seat. Side impact sensor (second) is in rear seat upper side panel. Between door and back of seat. They are tight spots and are easier to remove seat associated with side of car. Right passenger. Left driver side.
