stick a butterknife wraped with aa twoel under it and pry up, go from the back near the compartments to the top. I will be putting a DIY on how to remove the Radio/Navi in less than 30 min with least amount of panel removal in a few days.

Plastic tools for prying

I bought a set of 5 plastic prying tools from The Tool Warehouse to remove console trim. They're tough enough to pry off trim and being plastic, they leave no marks behind. Five is too many but at <$10 for the set, I thought it was a pretty good deal.
