Perplexed about head lamp color

Hey folks,

I recently had the dealer replace one of my head lamps in my 04 3TL. When I pulled in the garage I noticed that the headlamp seems more yellow than blue. When you compare the two on the wall.

Do folks have any idea what this could be? Did they install the wrong one or should I have both replace because that is how they are these days.

yea, thats it, you should've replaced both of the headlights as a set. Therefore you have the slight difference in coloration.

As HID lamps age, they experience a slight color shift from bright white to more a blueish hue.

To answer your question. Yes, you should have had both replaced.

Was your whip ever in an accident? When I sent my headlights to JnC to get blacked out, he found that the repair shop that fixed my car actually put a D2R headlight bulb in the socket instead of a D2S (HID) bulb. It was noticeably different from the other. If not that then somebody replaced one bulb at the time and not in sets, like you're supposed to.

you don't have to replace the headlamps. just buy a d2s bulbs from ebay and replace it, since older bulb will color shift and becomes more bluer...just drive with your headlight on for about 50 hours and you'll see your new bulb will become almost the same color as your old ones.
