Passenger seat moves forwards, but not back.
 

I have 2004 Acura TL. For no apparent reason, the passenger seat moves forward, but not backwards, nor does the recline feature doesn't work. I checked the fuses, and several forums that indicated that something may be caught in the track; however from what I can tell, this isn't the case. Any advice? Is there a method to manually move the seat back as a temp solution?

Some times a coin gets in the inside track & causes this. Take the seat out of the car & lay it on the floor so you can roll it over & see what's causing the problem.

Can you hear a click when going backwards? One motor operates forward and reverse. (one motor for recline as well) Double check fuse 17 and 13 underdash. also you can remove the seat like the one fella said and shake it may something is blocking it otherwise a wrench can be used to manually bring it back or forward...takes a while but can be done.

The issue was with the switch itself. Apparently someone dropped into the seat who was a little heavy, and the back of the switch (behind the controls) became loose. Thanks for your input ~Gene
