Passenger Seat

Passenger Seat
Im looking for any assistance I can get. Im currently experiencing a rattle that sounds like its coming from the passenger seat back. It occurs frequently when someone is sitting in the seat and recently has started occuring without someone sitting in the seat. Is there a way I can take the seat apart to see if theres anything loose inside or could it be a simple bolt tightening process at the base of the seat?

Actually to clarify a little more I can take my hand and press in the middle of the back of the seat and the rattle ceases as soon as I let go it starts again. Arent there canisters for the air bags and stuff in there?

Had a similar problem and fixed it. Mine was pinpointed to one of the bolts mounting the seat to the frame. It appears that, while tight, it was not completely seated, which allowed the seat to create a clicking sound. It was the bolt closest to the center console. To test, move the seat around to get your noise and then apply pressure to the mounting bracket and test again.
I torqued mine down a bit further. Worked like a charm.

I had something similar, where it seemed to be coming from the headrest (in addition to pressing in on the seat, pressing on the headrest got rid of the problem)...solution was to switch headrests (it's gone away).

One of the guys here told me to remove the front right bolt holding the seat in and put felt under it. I took felt and carved it into a washer shape and put under the seat bracket and replaced the bolt. Have not heard rattle since.....thanks for the tip...

When you drive try to apply some lateral pressure in your right at the level of the back, like if you would like to throw the seat by the passenger door.
you could also try to do this on headrest
if the sound stop in the head rest it's the velcro or the metallic tube that meet the plastic ring adjustement
if it's stop with pressure near the side of the seat. I notice that the passenger seat is very close to the armrest and the seat rubs against it and make some noise. Put a scot towell folded between the parts and the sound is gone. Not very nice but does the job
