Paint Peeling

Paint Peeling
My 08 tl has paint that is peeling on the front bumper right under the license plate.
There are no gashes/scratches as if i had bottomed out.
Any opinions on whether or not this will be covered under warranty?
Thanks in advance.

1) are you the original owner?
2) accident history?
3) it looks like a crappy repaint which could indicate the car had a minor fender bender in it's past.
4) the likelihood of the warranty covering paint work...low to none unless the car was recently purchased from the dealer as CPO. if you've had the car awhile and this just recently started....you are probably out of luck.

I used to work in a body shop and from the looks of it, the bumper may have been repainted one time in its life and they didn't prepare it well enough for the paint to adhere properly. That's usually what the issue is when the paint starts to crack and chip away like the picture shows.
From the body shop point of view, and I know it's just what you wanted to hear (kidding), but I doubt that it would be covered. You can always try though, the worst they can do is tell you "no, it's not covered" and you end up paying for it anyways. If it makes you feel any better I had a similar incident on the top of my left fender. It had been repaired in the past and they didn't do it right, so the paint and the clear coat has started to wither away and I see all of the sand scratches in a 1x1 square on the top of my fender. I'm just waiting for someone to hit me in that fender so insurance will repaint it for me

ask the dealer....a yr out from purchase....not sure if they would cover. a month out from purchase, then yes (if they know what's right).
otherwise, a respray is on your dime. ~$400 or so depending on where you are.
