Paint Fade
 

I removed my door moldings yesterday but one molding left discoloration in the door. It seams like it affected the clear coat some what because when I run my finger between where the molding was, to where the exposed paint is there is a slight bump. I used no.7 liquid compound by hand but it didn't do anything. Any suggestions as to what this may be or remedies?
