P0741 CEL code
i have a 04 tl 5at .....my cel recently came on .took it to get check and this code appeared twice P0741 Torque Converter Clutch Hydraulic Clutch Stuck OFF .....anyone know if i have to replace the solenoid ( part number or diy so i can change myself) or torque converter? my tranmssion is running fine no slipes or shakes like i read somewere here neither no burning smell
ps.i replaced my tranmission and torque converter with a used one since my old case had a cracks on it

Bro i had the same issue, had the same code appear twice and everything.
is the tranny slipping? is there a delay in gear shifts? is your fluid burned?
If so you're gonna need a rebuild, doing a 1x3 with type f might extend it a little but usually (and i learned this after research and experience) the P0741 means a rebuild or replacement of the tranny...

no its been driving good no slips and burns my old transmission was running bad and with a crack so i decided to change it
it wouldnt be a sensor needed to change?

Well miraciosly my cel went off i dont know if my car or ecu is acting stupid who knows and i took it to the mechanic also and confirmed it is the sensor.he stated the torque converter that came with the used transmission was fine so would anyone know what part number the sensor is or were its located???
