One headlight goes out, and then same night the other does too!

So I have an 07 type s and when driving 2 days ago my left lowbeam just went out and will not come back on. Later that evening while driving the right side low beam went off too, but as of lately at night the right side has been working ok.

What are the odds they would both go out the same day?? I know its the whole trial and error process to see if its the ignitor, ballast, or bulb by switching sides. However I dont have the time to take the bumper off and test this out.

Based on what I posted does anyone have any insight if it might be the bulbs ballasts or ignitors?

I have searched and just came up with the trial and error process. It comes down to me basically guessing and buying those parts online to replace it. Im going to move onto CBI 5000k bulbs anyways now so I need to figure out if ballasts or ignitors.

Where would be the cheapest place to buy the parts??

Thanks for taking the time to help out

It shows that it is compatible with 06-08s so I would guess yes.

Were your lights pinkish at anytime? That would signify only the bulb being bad. I had an issue once were there was some corrosion in the igniter. some sanding fixed that issue, and haven't had problems since (this was more than 3 years ago).

Still havent had a chance but if I am correct isnt the 07 and 08 type s headlight ballast much smaller than the 06? So how could the link I posted work if it says it works for 06-08?

Can anyone offer a link to where I can get the parts??

Incorrect bro.

The 04/05 Ballast is the large one.

06-08 are the slim one.

06 is same slim ballast as yours.

So i finally ripped it apart and figured since im in there I will completely black out my headlights, change the 3000k fogs to 6000k to match the lows and completely black out the grill. I also nightshaded the mirror turn signals too

Once I got to the non working headlight I found within the wiriing harness that one of the wires leading to the ballast had be severed and dangling by one little wire. So I cut it off completely and re soldered a new wire in. Its all good to go!!! Pics to come soon

Lol it's always funny how we start doing one mod only to find an excuse to do more mods!
