Give the underhood fuse box a moderate knock with your fist with the A/C in the on postition. See if the fans come on. I have seen connctors under the fuse box not fully seated causing the same symptoms you have. You may want to lift the fuse box and assure all your connectors are fully seated UNDER the fuse box.

so- no fan with ac on-by itself? but fan does work hotwired?
Most likely suspect is the coolant temp sensor, probably located lower right (passenger) side corner of radiator
It screws in and has a wire to it
that activates the pass side fan
The driver side fan operates on engine temp

Check the radiator level when cold- is it all the way up to the filler neck?
An air bubble-pocket will cause massive problems
On the overeflow bottle- is the hose inside the cap connected? they like to fall into the coolant
Is it losing coolant from the res or rad?

Thanx for all the help guys. Just when i thought it was fixed it started over heating again. Seems the issue is (THE FANS) they turn on but are not spinning as fast as they should be. we thought we fixed the issue by pushing under the relay box that holds the 2 relay's for the fan. but yet my car still over heats. now the fans are on but not spinning as fast as they should. if anyone might know please let me know before ACURA does cause they wanna charge me a $100

Problem fixed . and i was right about the fans not spinning right. well what the problem was. Last month or so the car was in the body shop and seems the body man some how tied a tie strap around my cold air intake & the ground. lower driver side where the fans ect are grounded. And seems from time to time they would come on & off so seems it was just a bad ground due to a little dam tie strap which was pulling them off the chassis of the car. so problem fixed fixed all the grounds and fans are good as new

Glad you got it fixed but keep in mind that bad grounds could've shortened the fan motor life.
