Oil drops aft of oil filter

Hello all,

Looking for guidance on what is the likely cause for about a dozen drops a day in an area just behind the oil filter (passenger side almost to the aft part of the engine bay under the hood).

I only have 86000 miles on a 2008 TL Type S. It has been well maintained and I've owned it for about a year with no issues. In the last couple weeks the oil drops have begun.

I had the oil changed about two months ago and the dealership said I had an oil leak. I hadn't noticed anything until about a month after that (last month).

Seeing that you are closing in on the 105k maintenance, do the timing belt water pump service and have them do the oil pump seal while they are in there. I heard you can kill two birds with one stone labor cost wise.

8 hours for TB/WP and additional 4 hours to seal the pump,12 hours of labor total.

How is the TB/WP an 8 hour job? Can't it be done in 3-4?

There's the "book" and what it really takes. My guy did it in a bit over 2. He'd done lots of them though. If I'd tried it the crank pulley bolt alone would take hours

Flat rate my friend, the tech can do less than that if he got plenty experience however if he ran into issue like a strip bolt or something then its on him working for free.
