This is a common occurrence and is a serious problem that needs to be checked out
The problem is that the car is so comfortable that you can day dream and not realize you just drove your ass 40 miles past the exit. Solution is to place a tack face up on the seat. Another possible issue is that you got sloshed and forgot you drove that far Best fix is to drive in reverse until the odometer goes back to 340 |
lol most likely

Keep driving and keep an eye on your odometer.

^ Haha, it actually didn't, it let to the car crashing out of the garage and down the hillside

Odo will usually count forward when driving in reverse. The speed sensor only counts magnetic pulses. My first thought was someone snuck the car out. Even though most say it doesn't work, the cable driven speedometer of my parents' car would roll back with the car on jacks when I was trying to avoid an ass whooping after sneaking the car out. A drill works very well as well. No chance in hell of rolling back an electrictronic odo.
