Odd shifting, codes P0746 & P0777 (pressure control solenoids)

My transmission was rebuilt at about 97K miles back in August of 2012. Has been fine ever since. At about 120K miles, it appeared to have a shifting issue one day. Since I hadn't had the fluid flushed since the rebuild, I took the car to the dealer and had it flushed entirely. It behaved beautifully for a few days. Then, after I had a few errands to do one day, it did the same thing again but much more severely, shifting very abruptly. The check engine light came on and the D light started blinking. Since I was at my dad's house after that, I put some Lucas Trans Fix in the fluid at his suggestion. I limped home and it then behaved normally the next few days, though I did take it much easier on it. Acted up very mildly yesterday and the check engine light came on again. Since I didn't catch it in time before, I had it read immediately and it came up with P0746 (Pressure control solenoid valve 'A' stuck off) and P0777 (Pressure control solenoid valve 'B' stuck on). To prevent further damage, it is parked right now but I need to figure something out ASAP. I can order the pressure control solenoids today and have them tomorrow, replaced by Sunday. If it's something else, I will need to take the car to my transmission guy (awesome reputation and did my rebuild back in 2012) on Monday. I really don't think it's acting like it's failing but maybe I'm trying to be optimistic. I can drive it fine and it shifts, just occasionally has little slip ups then behaves normally after that. Any help is much appreciated!!!

I would take it to your awesome trans guy and have him change out the 3rd & 4th gear pressure switches.

If the pressure switches have never been replaced, that should be done - they do not last forever. Search for many threads on HOW-to on this forum. If the switches are not performing correctly, that may cause the DTCs you report.

If interested in what can cause a solenoid to *stick* its the filter screens plugging-up/ clogging, wear from suspended wear clutch/ metal particles in the ATF, or varnish deposits on the valves from worn/ heated ATF. For pictures, the following link is for an Acura Legend trans solenoids, but they are similar to those in your car:

If you have a trans filter, change it often, and change the ATF every so often to keep the inside of the trans clean (from the detergents) and to prevent build-up of wear particles, esp if you do not/ cannot change the filter.
