Odd clicking noise from front brakes
I noticed this noise the other day when I had the window down and radio off. It happens after I've been driving around for a while, when I approach a stop from a lower speed and apply the brakes, it sounds like there's a click coming from the front wheels. The noise doesn't occur if I'm heavy on the brakes and it doesn't happen all the time. Braking effectiveness and action are the same as they've always been.
Any ideas? Thanks. I'm at the 3yo mark with the car, which means it's probably time for a brake fluid change.. but that wouldn't be the cause of the click, would it?
PS: The front brake pads were replaced a couple months ago and front rotors were resurfaced at the time of pad replacement.

Safety Car
i have one now that occurs when u press on the brake, come to a hault and wait for a sec if u press the brake either harder or let go and press it at a complete stand still theres a brake booster noise. it sounds like its shot. im having it changed. the back padds i think need changing too. or the caliper soemtimes when the car sits for a week or so and i drive it for 3 secs stop at a sign or something and continue driving the rear brakes make noise like they havent fully released.... but theres no brake pressure problems.....im dropping it off once i get the new innovative mounts.

Oh. Hmm.. that may be it, as when I had the front pads replaced and rotors resurfaced, I took it to the Honda dealer that's not far away. Maybe they didn't do that.
These are the pads I bought and had them install: http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/brake...ion&perfCode=P

yea im currently having the same exact problem, especially after accelerating and braking there is usually one to two clicks coming from the left wheel, has anyone found what is causing this, gbc_yoyo do u recall what was tightened?

i doubt its the slide pins because it would click every time u apply the brakes and the case here is that lets say i brake to stop at a stop sign and then proceed slowly and brake again it does not click, now if i accelerate faster and the front lifts a bit and i brake then it clicks so i dont know if its a suspenison problem, tie rods, cv joint, or engine mounts, or something else and i still havent figured out

old thread bump
I know this is an old thread? But did you ever find a solution ? Im getting the same thing, except mines a loud clunking with the pedal softly depressed. I have all new pads, rotors, calipers, bushings, rack and pinion, cv axels (almost 2 years old) etc. I can't find the problem for the life of me and its driving me insane !

I have a good guess
It's the lower ball joint that's gone bad and need to be replaced. I have a 2010 accord. Its a common problem amongst Hondas/Acuras. If you are a DIY'er it shouldn't cost more than $60 for the parts and a few beers for your buddies to help you out on a weekend afternoon.
You will need a ball joint tool that you can rent out at any auto store.

Here's where I found mine OEM replacement part around $30 bucks

Good luck and fingers crossed

Advanced
I don't know about this. Ball joints usually clunk and cause drifting not a "click" on braking. With my 07 AT TL I pulled the caliper and cleaned it all, lubed all my slides etc and assemble the whole thing again every other oil change. I believe this is the "B" service that is part of your oil life reminder.
Also the sleeve in the lower control arm really makes the LBJ a PITA on the TL. Try everything else first like the service I just mentioned. If it comes out while removing the stud you are now buying a new LCA (aftermarket ones are about $170).
When you grease everything make sure you are using either the Molykote 77 mentioned in the FSM or a VERY high quality, high temp silicone grease like Sil-glyde. I have had bad luck with the thicker "green stuff"... Permatex if I remember right.

Did you use enough brake lubricant on the shims/pads to ensure they aren't moving around?

Same odd clicking sound from breaks
I hear a clicking noise as I drive down the street without turning. When I apply the brakes it goes away. Non-stop clicking sound going alomg with the tire coming from the breaks. Just did rear pads and calipers 3 weeks ago. Idk I cant tell if its coming from the front or rear.

I have the same one. After driving for a while I stop, reverse and as soon as I apply brakes I hear the clicking sound from both front wheels... rotors=1 year old, pads = 1 year. up to 10K milage (((
