Obd2 engine temperature reads 190° Fahrenheit. For a 3g TL what is normal?

I have a 2004 TL with no codes via the obd2 BUT the dynamic readings indicate the engine temperature is a bit high (in red at 190). Anyone else have a engine temperature data point I can compare to?

the screenshot was taken after a 20 minute trip to work.
Thanks

Looks normal to me; why are you concerned?

I guess the red numbers intimidate me. I also just don't know what normal is, and if I were to get a couple similar numbers from other 3g tl owners I could be more confident that everything is peachy.

thanks for your reply!

As the thermostat starts to open 169-176 degrees and doesn't fully open until 194, I certainly wouldn't worry about 188.
A long way until the water boils @250 degrees-14 psi cap.

Are you using an app OP?

I am using torque pro and my normal operation temperature is 171 (which falls in the range turbonut stated)

Hi,

One more data point.
187 degrees using torque app on android.

Outside temperature is 85 degrees and sunny. Ten minute drive.
